Kullu: A very beautiful place located on the bank of river Beas. It is about 10 km away from the Bhuntar airport in north direction. Kullu is famous for many temples. Kullu valley is also known as Valley of God. It is famous internationally for its Dussehra festival which is famous with the name Kullu Dussehra. It is a celebration of Lord Ram victory over Ravana. This festival is celebrated usually in month of October or November. The Kullu valley is connected with the Lahul and Spiti valleys through Rohtang pass. It is perfect place for those who are nature lover and enjoy the beauty of mountains. It is perfect place to run away from heat and dust. The climate of Kullu is almost fine through out the year except June and early July. In these months it is little warmer than other months. Bijli Mahadev: About Bijli Mahadev temple it is said that the dhwaza-sthupa attracts the lightning and the shiv ling inside the temple is broken into pieces and after that priests of the temple reconstruct the shiv ling. They use butter and satoo to rebuild the shiv ling. It is said that the lightning that falls on the Bijli Mahadev temple is the divine blessings.
Malana: is situated on north-east of Kullu valley. It is situated at the altitude of 3029 m. Manala was inhabited by the Jamlu rishi. The people of Manala follow the rules and regulations very strictly which are made by him. Malana is first democracies area in the world. They got their democracy in the time of Mughal reign. The emperor Akbar went there to cure his ailment and after he was fully cured, he announced that the people of Malana would never pay tax.
Bajaura: It is near about 15 km away from Manali. It is blessed with the outstanding landscapes, the colorful apple orchards, the cool springs etc. Bajuara is full of natural beauty and is perfect place for nature lovers who find here the real paradise. Bajura is famous for its Bisheshwar Temple which is one of the largest temples.
Naggar: It is a town situated in Kullu. It was the capital of Kullu in 1460 AD. It is situated on the left bank of river Beas at an altitude of 2,047 meters. It was discovered by Raja Visudhpal.Naggar. It is connected with Patli Kulh through a bridge across river Beas. Naggar is famous for its temples like Lord Krishana, Tripura Sundari and Vishnu. The sightseeing in Naggar includes Jagatopatt temple, raison and Nicholas Roerioh Art Gallery. The climate in Naggar during winter is cold and in summer weather is pleasurable. In winter the temperature of Naggar falls down to zero or less than zero. In winter one has required very heavy winter clothes. But in summer the temperature is moderate. Naggar is famous for its shawls, shoes, baskets, and olive oils.
Kasol: It is 42 km away from the Kulu situated on bank of Parbati River. It is famous for its greenery and mountains. Clean white sand and green grass increases its beauty and makes it one of the favorite tourist spot. It is a perfect place to spend the vacations as it provides most delightful views. Kasol is famous for its trout fishing.
